IGNOU B.Ed Syllabus 2020: IGNOU B.Ed is the National Level Entrance exam conducted every year by “Indira Gandhi National Open University” in two sessions for admission of the candidates in B.Ed program offered at various Program Study Centers of IGNOU. Official Notification: IGNOU B.Ed application form available on the official website www.ignou.ac.in from 31/January/2020 to 29/February 2020. The objective of the Program: Indira Gandhi open university designed with the aim to develop an understanding of learning and teaching quality at senior secondary and senior secondary levels. The B.Ed program offered by IGNOU is an innovative program to improve the technologies of information technology along with Interactive personal improvement of personality.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Criteria

  1. Candidates who have a Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Science/Social Science/ Commerce/ humanity with minimum of 50% marks                            

or

  1.  Must have completed a bachelor degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55%

or

  1. Candidates must be trained in-service teachers in Elementary Education
  2. Candidates must have completed the NCTE recognized Teachers Education program through the face-to-face Method.

Age Criteria

All the candidates must be aged above 21 years on the last date of the submission of application form.

Relaxation in Age

  • The Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks required will be provided to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) /PWD candidates as per govt. norms.
  • Reservation of Kashmiri Migrants and War Widows will be provided as per university rules.

How to fill IGNOU Application Form 2020?

The Application form can be submitted only by online mode in its official website.Below are the steps to apply for IGNOU b.ed.

  1. Visit the official website www.ignou.ac.in
  2. Click on  “ Application form link “
  3. After the registration process, note down your system generated application number
  4. Fill the Application form with detail information.
  5. Upload scanned documents in JPG/JPEG format.
  6. Upload photograph and signature (as per given dimensions in the application form)
  7. Submit application form
  8. Download and Print the application form for future use.

All candidates have to pay the online fee through debit card, credit card, net banking, etc. no request for refund of fee will be accepted by the authority.

How to download IGNOU 2020 ADMIT CARD?

Candidates can download the admit card from April 1st 2020. There are two methods to download admit card –

Method 1st:

  1. Enter your name as filled in the application form.
  2. The result appears on the screen with enrollment number.
  3. Click on the enrolment number
  4. Print Admit card
  5. Paste photograph as mentioned place. the photograph should be attested by Gazetted officer

Method 2nd:

  1. Enter 9-digit enrollment number
  2. Admit card appears
  3. Print admit card
  4. Paste photograph as mentioned place. the photograph should be attested by Gazetted officer

Note : candidates carry admit card along with relevant documents as mentioned in the application form with photocopies. As well as carry Govt approved ID proofs

ID proofs may be

  • Aadhar card,
  • Driving license,
  • Voter Id Card

Note: Candidates must go through the instructions printed on the back side of the admit card. carefully read the instructions.

IGNOU B. Ed Exam Pattern/IGNOU B.Ed Syllabus 2020

IGNOU exam pattern will be Online Mode (Computer-based test).

It consists objective type questions(MCQ) format.

Marking approach 1 mark for each correct answer
Negative marking No negative marking
Medium of Paper Hindi and English only

 The question paper divided into 2 sections. the 1st section divided into 4 papers:

  1. Logical and analytical Reasoning
  2. General English comprehension
  3. Educational and General Awareness
  4. Teaching ability and learning

Section 2nd based on the subject Competency of the candidate. Subject competency based on the curriculum of IX/X classes prescribed by NCERT/CBSE and the included subjects are :

  1. Mathematics
  2. Science
  3. Social science
  4. English
  5. Hindi

Note : the candidate will be required to answer any one subject from the above mentioned section.

How to download IGNOU 2020 ADMIT CARD?

Candidates follow these steps to download the result/ rank score card:

  1. Visit the official website of IGNOU University i.e. www.ignou.ac.in
  2. Click on the “Result” link
  3. Choose the B.Ed program 2020 result
  4. Enter 9-digit enrollment number
  5. The score card will appear, take a print out of the score card. The score card declare the rank and percentage of the candidate in the written examination.

IGNOU B.Ed Counselling

The counseling process for the IGNOU B.Ed program would be conducted at various centers located over different cities.

  • Candidates shortlisted for the counseling purely based on the basis of rank of the candidate in the IGNOU B.Ed 2020 Entrance examination.
  • The counseling program organized at the regional centers, depending on the choose option provided by the candidate at the time of filling the application form.
  • The final list and the waiting lists of the candidates also declared by the university. In the case of the vacant seats left after the first counseling, the second counseling round would be conducted by the IGNOU University at the regional centers.
  • Candidates ensure that the copies of the relevant document would be self-attested at the time of counseling. Candidates carry their original documents as well as for verification purpose.

IGNOU B.Ed Program fee structure

The program fee is Rs. 50,000/- for the entire course. The program fee is not submitted at the time of filling the application form. IGNOU university will take separate counseling for the submission of the fee of the program.

Reservation: IGNOU University provided the reservations of seats for SC (Scheduled Caste) , ST ( Scheduled Tribes), OBC( Non-Creamy layers), War Widows, Kashmiri Migrants and Divyang learners etc. as per the Govt of India rules for admission to its various programs.
